Installation of the Root Certificate
The most easy way to install the root certificate on a windows machine is to run the root certificate installer as an administrator on this machine. After that the root certificate is available to all programs that use the windows certificate management.
For software that does not use the windows certificate management you need to download and import the root certificate. Please refer to the documentation of that software to find out how to import a certificate.
